We were there for a funeral of a family member who had lived there for over 50 yrs. We are very familiar with the area and have always been comfortable there.

Beautiful old historical hotel. The rooms were clean. We had a fantastic view of Lake Michigan. There were a few things that would have made me want to give it a higher rating. Free coffee and front door man. The staff seemed tired and under appreciated.

Great location right off of Michigan Ave. They have a very good breakfast, that included almost everything you could want. It was very popular and packed with people. One negative, it felt like it was a cafeteria and not a relaxing place to sit down, relax and enjoy.

The breakfast menu was excellent. The hotel had a small pool and gym in a nice location. The room was clean and well-equipped with a refrigerator, coffee machine, and microwave. Like most of the atmosphere around Chicago, the area showed how weak the economy really is - many new fast food restaurants and discount stores with an equal amount of closed stores and strip malls.

There is a lit of traffic
Oak lawn is okay just very dirty.. taxi service is like walking in the desert. No where to be found.
