Old Chatham Vacations from $266

I have been here before years ago. The place is a good value and in a great location. Unfortunately the room was given to us in poor condition. There were cobwebs from the ceiling to one of the lamps. There was a used black latex glove in the chair. There was a ski glove behind the couch. There was a handprint on the wall above the kitchen table. The place wasn't properly vacuumed. Along the baseboard the carpet meets the baseboard there was a good amount of debris. I complained to the front desk and they offered to change our room but we were already settled in at that point. I also had concerns the next room would be the same with regard to cleaning. Manager where are you? Obviously not on site on the busiest days of the week. No manager on site. I asked at the front desk. I realize things happen and staff make mistakes but I complained via text and sent pictures as well as told them at the front desk. If you would have called me I probably would not have sent this review. I suggest someone does a walk through to check how these units are left for the next guests. After all you have 6 hours between the 10 am check out and the 4pm check in (I found that that was out of range with the norm as well). You can do better than this.

Everything was fine. The only exception we had to leave because of the weather . When we asked f we can get a refund , the manager declined. I guess he or she was worried about there numbers .

Nice place, quiet, near everything

The staff at the front desk was welcoming, the room was very nice. We enjoyed our stay. HOWEVER - on the day we were to arrive there was a major blizzard. There was no safe way to drive from the Boston area to Pittsfield. I called the hotel 2 days before to say that we would be arriving a day after our reservation. We had purchased cancellation insurance. When we arrived a day late I asked the front desk about a refund. They told me to call Expedia, which I did. Expedia tried to reach the hotel and was unable to do so. They referred me back to the the manager. It is now a week later and after several calls to the hotel, the manager never returned my call. I find this unacceptable.
