"The house was perfectly clean, yard was safely fenced, decor was so soothing and peaceful. We enjoyed downtown Ottowa and hiking at Starved Rock. Communicating with the owner was easy and prompt. "

"Very welcoming, accurate pictures and listing. Loved the games and activities. Great places to hang out, plenty of space in the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Appreciated the layout to have 2 family units with one bedroom sort of removed with its own bathroom. Loved the chicken experience, our kids had a blast gathering eggs for breakfast every morning! Kitchen very well stocked with almost everything we needed! Close to grocery stores. Very close to Starved Rock State Park which was great for family activities every day. Great experience! Would recommend and stay here again. "

"It was absolutely amazing the only downside which is not any of the staffs fault is that the fire alarm went off at about 3:30am but other than that it was a terrific stay and I will be back!"

"I stayed at this property last year en route back east after spending the winter in CO. When I was woken up early in the morning by chipping birds I remembered why I didnt ever want to stay here again. Come on propert owners - get rid of the birds and the garbage that needs to be brought to the dump! And please buy new Bed covers. The ones on the bed I slept in must have been used the past 10* years. It was disgusting. Sorry for this review but you have to know you need to step your game up!"

"There were issues. There were Cheetos on the bed frame, the microwave didn’t work and the coffee maker was filthy on the inside. The staff worked to resolve the issues however ever the coffee maker didn’t work correctly. The microwave was replaced soon after check and the male staff member was good about the issues but the female seemed frustrated with switching the coffee maker and gave me a non working replacement. The room was fine except for the cleaning issue but the hallway carpet was very badly worn."

"The stay was wonderful! So dog friendly! They even provided dog beds and bowls. Very nice touch. Everything for the humans was great too. No complaints at all. Definitely met and exceeded our expectations. The hosts are very nice and easily accessible when needed. Hoping to go back again someday. "
