“Staff wouldn’t check us out in the morning, used soap in the bathroom, dirty nightstand.”

“This hotel is an oasis of civilization in rural Maine. It is attractive, comfortable and clean. You will need a car in Presque Isle, or pay the sole taxi $35 each way to and from the airport.”

“Comfy bed breakfast was excellent easy location good parking”

“Checkin staff was very friendly and helpful. He was able to upgrade our room to a king bed because there were no standards available on the 1st floor and my feet are very painful to walk. Strangely, they only put one wash cloth in king rooms. Bathroom really clean and room very nice. No coffee maker in room but coffee in lobby.”

“Clean, fun and the Lake was amazing!”

“Nice quiet place and had everything for a nice stay.”

“This is a hidden gem. A great place to relax and spend time with family.”

“It was -12 on Portage Lake and we cranked the heat pump up to 75. The Birds Nest cabin needs another heat source. Upstairs was cold when we got back at 10:30 pm after leaving the heat on all day in the cabin. The two full size beds that are pictured is one that’s on the bottom of a metal bunk bed frame and the other is upstairs where the roof is pitched so one side has no head room to accommodate two grown adults.New owners shut the water off for the winter. Didn’t know that until the day we left……

“Although there is construction going on at the hotel it was very nice. The only complaint we have is the AC unit in the room kept shutting off all night and one of us would have to turn it back on”

“A beautiful cottage set in a wooded camp on Portage Lake. We kayaked and canoed. Very rustic, but super comfortable. Washer/dryer was a bonus! Hiked up Hedgehog Mountain, drove on to Fort Kent. Grilled some fish and relaxed on the wonderful covered patio. ”
