Charming apartment in “Rua dos Mercadores”, in the heart of “Ribeira do Porto”, right in the historic center and classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. One of the most beautiful and typical places of Porto, within walking distance to all major sites.

The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a building in the historic center of Porto - Ribeira.
Ribeira is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Porto and for sure the most picturesque, where its rich architecture with the colourful ancient houses and the riverfront with the traditional Rabelo boats create an extraordinary urban landscape. The diversity of traditional restaurants, bars and terraces with a view to the river or sheltered under medieval arches, makes it the most popular district.

The name of this medieval street have its origins in the fact of being one of the places elected by Porto merchants and traders to set up their beautiful villas.
Within 5 minutes walk are some of the most emblematic places of the city: Palácio da Bolsa, Edifício da Alfândega, Igreja de S. Francisco, Ponte Dom Luís I, Sé Catedral, Torre dos Clérigos, among many others. You can also visit the Port wine cellars or take a cruise on the Douro River.

Nearby you will find everything you need, from supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, bakeries, pharmacy, post office, taxi stand, buses and many other services. About 500 meters from the station "São Bento", with metro and train.

Lots of character but noisy

We loved the place. Very comfortable and great property manager. Very nicely got us a car to the airport. Only detraction was the fact that it is located on a relatively noisy street. For us, this was white noise.
