We had a rough start. We booked at 8 pm for the same night, arriving at 9 pm. We tried to call to alert the reception, despite the advertised 24/7 reception service, and someone replied “they are very busy at the concierge now, can you call back in 10 mins?” Then we though “all right sounds like they are going to be there” and actually didn’t call back. At 9.15 we were in front of the main door which was locked, and very luckily someone from the near restaurant let us in. The poor man started a very long call with a lady on line to register us and it looked like it was our fault if they were not ready for us. Hey, you advertise 24/7... The ‘motel style’ room is actually in the dependance, which has nothing to share with the charm of the main building: literally in front of a parking lot, super thin walls, kind of “in style” furniture but clearly modern. On the bright side: the main building is really beautiful, the location is central, the accommodation was very clean, and the morning after they let us hang around in the library in the main building for an extra hour.
