“Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy a stay at the Casa Grande. There is no road to the place, i.e. they have to pick you up by boat. I sent an e-mail, left two WhatsApp messages and tried calling 4 times, all to no avail. Even 2 days later I have not heard from them. I ended up in Parismina without any recourse to get to the place, and so I had to find a different accommodation there. Very unfortunate. If you can book this place in the morning for the evening, the resort must respond, otherwise……

“Pour une fois l'appellation "Beach Front" est totalement justifiée. La terrasse en hauteur est à 20m de la plage avec accès direct de la chambre. Du fond du hamac, bercé par la rumeur du ressac on se sent le roi du monde. Grande chambre avec des matelas tout à fait convenable. J'ajoute un accueil souriant et très attentif. L'ensemble reste un peu rustique mais pour moi les 5 étoiles sont bien méritées.”

“We hadden een onverwachte upgrade gekregen naar de deluxe tenten. Een zeer aangename verrassing en een leuke start van onze trip. Personeel was heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Tucans en veel andere vogels gehoord en gezien. ‘S nachts zijn oordopjes wel nodig voor mensen die licht slapen. Af en toe ook apen gehoord. Zwembad was erg fijn met een mooi uitzicht. Het eten en drinken (happy hour altijd leuk) was erg goed en schappelijk van prijs. Personeel heeft ons ook geholpen met het regelen……

Un hic sur le lit : qq ressorts que l'on sent dans le dos. Le matelas mériterait d'être changé. Mais c'est très agréable de s'endormir avec le bruit de la mer qui est à 50 m. Le guide attaché à l'hôtel est une référence locale et nous a permis de voir dans le parc de nombreux animaux en s'assurant que……

“Carey Lodge es un sitio sencillo y muy tranquilo, ideal si buscas algo básico en Tortuguero. La limpieza del cuarto era buena, pero la experiencia se vio afectada porque no nos dejaron toallas ni papel de baño; tuvimos que movernos por nuestra cuenta para conseguirlos. Está un poco alejado del embarcadero principal, lo cual es bueno para el silencio pero requiere caminar más. Mi mayor recomendación es no reservar por aplicaciones como Expedia si el precio se ve elevado, ya que terminamos pagando……
