An incredible experience from start to finish. Extremely welcoming staff, beautiful ocean views, and an inn that perfectly balances the line between modern and traditional. Everything about the Emerson Inn stole our hearts from the moment we arrived. I will definitely be returning.

The inn has a classic New England charm that feels genuinely historic, not staged. Our room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the porch just watching the water, which is the best kind of vacation. The staff were warm and welcoming without being intrusive. The bartender went out of his way to give us great local recommendations for dinner, Fleur was a standout. The location is ideal: peaceful and tucked away in Pigeon Cove, but an easy drive into downtown Rockport and Bearskin Neck. It also made a great home base for our day trip to Salem. We're already talking about coming back. Highly recommend for couples looking to slow down and reconnect by the sea.

Staff were helpful and kind, breakfast was great. Unfortunately we ran into a few hiccups involving the TV working, my window being open when I got to the room(50 degrees outside) and the heaters/ac in the room having unclean filters. That was a big deal because we had our 3 month old sleeping in the room with us - so I thought to check and they hadn't been cleaned in months.. Otherwise a beautiful location and very helpful staff.

We had a lovely stay . Very peaceful , we enjoyed the view from the porch siping a cocktail as well as our morning coffee and delish breakfast . The breakfast options were numerous and the croissants , amazing . Most of all we enjoyed the friendly woman who greeted us and checked us in . She gave us a few suggestions about the area and made sure we had everything we needed at breakfast . Highly recommend, staying here .

The view sitting on the veranda is outstanding. Staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast and bar snacks were delicious and well prepared. I only wish that they served dinner every night. I also wish the lounge chairs around the pool were more comfortable. Cushions would be nice. Nevertheless, I loved our stay and would love to stay again soon.

This hotel is very overpriced for what you get: tiny, tired rooms that smell musty. Your first clue to this will be the air conditioner on with the window open as you enter your room. Hardly room to move around in the room. Also, the place just seems deserted, with staff packing up and leaving the desk dark at 7pm.

It overlooked the water and grounds well groomed and charm of the retro/traditional historical Inn was very enjoyable. Staff were very helpful and fun. We had a take out dinner and rather than go to our room to eat they turned on the lights in bar/fix easy dining area and we enjoyed our dinner and viewing the ocean. Also, appreciated outdoor games such as corn hole, horse shoes and many other family games offered in library. Nice touches throughout stay.
