A view from one of the restaurants at Morro Bay. Quaint little California central coast town with plenty of restaurants, shops, and shoreline to walk. Dog friendly beach in which your dog/s can be off leash. As I was taking my last few photos I caught two young men going out for #hightide #surfsup #MorroBayCA #PaintedSky #BlueHour While the unending sandy beach at the picture perfect coastal town of Morro Bay is perfect for a dip during the day, at dusk it's perfect for a leisurely stroll. With the setting sun on one side and the iconic Morro rock on the other, this beach is great at all times of the day.
#BeachBound Morro Bay, on California's Central Coast, is a good place for kayaking and watching the sunset, especially in the autumn when you get nice clear days. You don't need to look far to find Morro Rock in Morro Bay. It stands up like a beacon on the coast, and once was a notable navigational landmark. Now you can join the thousands of tourists who come here to enjoy the views from all along the coast, or go across the short causeway to get close up.
To get a somewhat decent view of the rock while in town, drive just to the south of the row of shops and restaurants to the small shoreline park. This is also a docking for boats, so it is a pleasant place to stop. Wait till sundown, and you'll see this magnificent view. Morro Bay is adjacent to other places, like Pismo beach and San Luis Obispo. P.s. clam chowders are a must. #GoldenHour #Waterlust #BestOf5 Sea lions were everywhere. There is an observation boardwalk just a few miles north of Morro Bay where you can get fairly close to them. The babies were adorable. The sun was just setting and I was able to get this shot with the sun peeking out from behind Morro Rock. Elfin Forest Egret. Not to bay. Absolutely gorgeous sunset tonight in Morro Bay. Believe it or not, this is a raw photo from an iPhone 6. No filters, no brightening, simply no post-capture editing whatsoever.
I was walking the embarcadero unaware of this view behind me. Crossing an intersection and looking over my shoulder to check for traffic led me to this discovery. I couldn't help myself scrambling to the marina's edge pulling out the only camera I had on me to capture the moment.
#lifeatexpedia Morro Rock #morrobay #california #beach View of Morro Rock just outside Morro golf course Afternoon kayak in the bay near the famous Rock in Morrow Bay. Kayaking can be a very nice quiet and enjoyable way to catch the local scenery from a different perspective. Sunset in Morro Bay.
#morrobay #california #sunset This is the rock in Morro Bay on the Pacific coast. November 2016. A walk down the Morro Bay Embarcadero takes one from the boat launch to the boardwalk out to Morro Rock, and it’s a great way to get out and exercise. Along the way there are inns and motels, places to dine, outfitters for boating on the bay, cruise boats, museums, fishing charters, art galleries, and overlooks for viewing the birds and wildlife. Just check out this sunset!
#lifeatexpedia Morro Rock Morro Bay State Park is a state park on the Morro Bay lagoon, in western San Luis Obispo County, central California. On the lagoon’s northeastern and eastern edges in the park, there are saltwater and brackish marshes that support thriving bird populations.
There are opportunities for sailing, fishing, hiking, and bird watching. The park's Morro Bay State Park Museum of Natural History has exhibits covering natural features, cultural history, Native American life, geology, and oceanography. The park also has a marina and a public golf course. #GoldenHour Lovely town! Morro Rock is a 581-foot volcanic plug located just offshore from Morro Bay, California, at the entrance to Morro Bay Harbor. A causeway connects it with the shore, effectively making it a tied island. One of my favorite spots in Central California is Morro Bay. Enjoy tranquil nights and adventurous days here. Nice town, but the draw is really 'the rock'. Drive out there and spend some time next to the ocean, you won't regret it. Morro Bay has rules mister! Walk along the embarcadero and eat some fried clams One of our favorite weekend getaway spots!😎
#beach Camped overnight at the state park, which was a bit cramped, but still fun.
A foggy morning, but the rock was still a stunning part of the view across the harbor. Beautiful cool day to enjoy natures bounty! Morro Rock stands guard at the entrance to the bay. Morro Rock. A quick stop on our way up the PCH If you stay at Morro Bay, ask for a room in the 500. This will be the view from your room I loved this course so much and I'm sure I will visit to play again.
Staff is very professional and friendly, and course is in amazing condition. Above all was the views. Morrobayboatcharters.com Morrobayboatcharters.com The cutest raft of Sea Otters hanging out in Morro Bay. What a view! #MorroRock Morro Rock is located on the Central Coast of California. It is a 581-foot volcanic plug. Beautiful and majestic, it stands proudly connected to a causeway. It is one of 13 volcanic intrusions dotting the Central Coast. Because it is a protected habitat, entry to the actual rock is forbidden; however, you can access the perimeter and enjoy the view. Day dreaming #AquaTrove
Beautiful sunset on the bay Lovely little fishing town we stayed here on out drive from LA to San Francisco. Morro rock at sunset. Awesome surf shop and gear. Super friendly owner. They also do surf lessons And board rentals. This Hofbrau is set back from the busy embarcadero and even on Memorial Day, there were empty tables. They serve fish and chips, as well as clam chowder in a bread bowl, but their specialty are these sandwiches. This pastrami sandwich was the BEST and came with delicious au jus. 28' RIB Vessel I'm on top of the world. Part of the harbor and Morro Rock. California dreamin Awesome sunset and calm night To cold for surfing Morro Rock Morro Rock.
