We booked and paid for the highest room category but didn’t get the room we paid for when we arrived. The room we were given was small and looked NOTHING like the room we’d booked online. Changed rooms the next day but still didn’t get the room we’d originally booked online. Our new room had no private outdoor space, which the room we’d booked online clearly did. We were exhausted from our travels and, since the hotel stat wouldn’t offer us the room we’d actually booked, we took what they gave us. Big mistake. Our new room was on the first floor and SO loud. Every morning of our vacation we were jolted away by noise - screaming kids, music played from the nearby speaker, staff and hotel guests loudly talking, guests eating breakfast on the patio right outside our room, moving stuff up and down the stairs (luggage etc) - and we couldn’t go back to sleep. It was so disappointing and felt like a total bait and switch. Ruined our vacation. Front desk staff was generally not helpful. Most of them - especially the girl and young guy - seemed like it was their first week on the job and were totally confused by simple requests (like to call a taxi or help make a restaurant reservation). At check-in they forgot to provide basic information and instruction like if you want housekeeping to come then you must leave your key at the front desk - so we were really confused when housekeeping never showed. So much more went wrong. Felt like we were scammed on the room. Do not recommend.
