“The hotel was awesome, the ladies at the front desk were outstanding, I hope the owner realizes how lucky he is to have them there, very impressed will definitely be back next year”
“Stamphill is in an old boarding house. Rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator which can be tricky if you have mobility issues. The room was clean and spacious. Bob, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and saloon below the room were both good. Especially after a long drive when you don’t want to go very far to eat. ”
“This was an awesome visit. The town and area is beautiful. The room is very comfortable and the staff was very friendly.
This was a great experience.”
“This place is close to everything and far enough away to not be affected by the busyness that is Lead and Deadwood. I love being near the woods and mountains but where it is quiet and peaceful. This is a no frills, down to earth kind of place and I love it! ”
“It was in a quiet location with a running brook. Offered trolley to downtown. Very comfortable beds. Cinnamon rolls were fabulous! Would stay here again.”
“The rooms were clean. Staff was good. Parking was fine. breakfast was good. Laundry for guest to use was rather expensive $10 a load to wash and dry. Laundry mat a couple blocks away was a lot cheaper. The mattress was firm I didn’t like that.”
“What friendly staff, such a change to be treated like a guest 😊they even had fresh coffee in the morning!
The onsite restaurant was a little pricey and on the slow side. To get to the heart of historic downtown they say they offer a shuttle but it was very off schedule and not reliable. We used a cab and it wasn’t too expensive.

“This little motel is fabulous! It's so clean and the hosts are very friendly. The bed was comfortable and all amenities provided. There's a beautiful little creek behind the motel and cozy gliding rockers to sit and enjoy the sounds of the babbling brook going by. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will definitely be back.”
