“This is a great older property on the highway as you come into Lead from Deadwood. I used to live in town so .camilair with the property and it's history. They have cabins and rooms. We stayed in a room. It was roomy even with a King size bed, plus had a loveseat, tall dinette, dresser, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Pet friendly property. They are in the process of remodeling the rooms/cabins and other buildings (4/2026), and are adding a fenced-in dog area. There is also a covered……

“This used to be a best western motel. It was clean bed was comfortable, quiet close to trolley stop, good parking. Restaurant is ok food ok. No complaints i would and will stay there again.”

“Room was ok, we had a king suite. Tv was placed on dresser so it was hard to watch from the bed. The bed pillows were small for a king bed, more like a throw pillow. Bathroom did have an oversized bathtub, but you really didn’t want to use it for the bathroom fan was so loud! Our coffeemaker was missing a part so couldn’t make coffee in am. When we told him at front desk, he replied, ‘we have coffee down here.’The lounge area had chairs pushed off to the side and you always had to go get……

Right in downtown Deadwood easy access to everything there. This is not a sleek fancy hotel but more Waldorf meets grandmas house. We will definitely stay again!”

“Used bar of soap left in the shower.....was the tub/shower cleaned? It can happen though, easy to miss that. Room door keypads must be needing new batteries. I had the cards re-keyed twice and they still weren't working well. Staff was awesome though!!”
