The property is gorgeous and with some renovations this could be a really nice place. However, the room itself was dirty. Upon opening the sofa bed we found a hair clip laying on top, a used dental floss pick, and the rim of the toilet had not been scrubbed. During a pandemic this is concerning. The door also required multiple tries to open and sometimes didn’t lock properly. The floor also vibrates when the first floor A/C unit is on. Upon leaving non-public feedback to expedia that our check-in involved an unclean room and that we did not receive a VIP status upgrade, a manager proceeded to tell us they received our “nasty” review and mentioned us by name. That really soured our stay. We said nothing vitriolic about anyone at the property and simply were upset that the room was rented out in such a condition. To call someone “nasty” just for marking that the room was unclean is uncalled for. We’re all trying our hardest during this pandemic and working in hospitality myself I recognize it’s tiresome work and folks can sometimes drive you over the edge but just keep in mind that guests are often new to the area, away from their home, and being called names rudely makes them never feel welcome to come back.
