A nearby hotel canceled our reservation but failed to tell us until we got there. We were able to book the Winston and we’re very happy with our stay. It’s very unique since there is not any hotel management on site however it was very easy to contact someone when needed. Rooms were clean and large. You can’t beat the location if you want to stay downtown solving.

we do not have to wait just phone call and i like the convenient of it. i do not like my credit card taken when i already paid for our stay. there is a lot of scammer and not seeing or meeting the person who ask for our credit card number was scary. customer should have a choice to buy from lock cabinet. customer can call n given a code or have a lock that takes credit card. we should have had a choice on credit card thank you.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at The Winston for 3 days and was very surprised with how easy the check in was. An employee called us a few days before our stay to confirm the reservation and gave us instructions for check in and where to park. The parking area would've been hard to find if it wasn't for the call. This hotel is convenient as it is in the middle of downtown and was walking distance to museums, stores and wine places. The only downside of this place during our stay was the noise. We booked a queen suite on the 1st floor which was clean and looked nice with all the decor. Everything the you would normally see in a hotel was supplied. However, the people that was booked across the hallway from us was very loud especially during quiet hours which as 10PM to 8AM. Another issue was that the people booked above us either had kids or was playing tag throughout the whole day as we were hearing their loud foot steps. This ruined some of our nights when we were trying to get good sleep on this relaxing vacation. Overall, i would recommend this place for pure convenience of the spot. Otherwise, stay somewhere else if you want some real peace and quiet.

The interior architecture and design is stunning! Their hands off approach leaves you well rested. The hotel was very clean, peaceful and charming. The suites are impressive. Definitely want to return!

Rooms are excellent, location is excellent. Walls are thin so if your neighbors happen to be loud it’s annoying but that’s not the hotels fault, other than that it’s a perfect place to stay in Solvang.

There are pros and cons to this property. I will start with the pros: the rooms are beautiful and very clean. The person who decorated is very talented. Sheets are very comfortable Con: I paid for a balcony that I thought overlooked open space from their pictures. The balcony actually overlooks the parking lot. Now that I know that I would not pay up for that. Don’t pay extra for balcony unless you want to look any your car. About 5AM a terrible odor overtakes the room. It was so bad it woke me up. It is an invisible host so anything you need can take some time. I will say they were quick to respond to a text. You will need to take a picture of the problem to prove it before they do anything. Once proven they will take care of it. The lock is a bit tricky, but we figured it out. I think it’s very pricey for what you get. Lastly I pre paid the room. They drove me crazy with phone calls to get my card for incidentals. Once I was on a tour when they wanted the card. The next time I was driving. They just kept calling. They had their full pay yet kept calling. If they had someone on premises they wouldn’t have had to worry about the card so much.

Very nice and large suite. Bed is a tad too hard, towels need updating, and your pillows aren’t the best too soft. Tv difficult to operate with the remote. No EV charging; GET THIS PLEASE
