The resort itself is beautiful! The nature and beach is what makes it. There are monkeys and birds that you'll hear and see if you're lucky. breathtakingly beautiful. It's walkable but they have shuttles available which were handy during the rain or when carrying luggage. There is beach access. The beach is public.. was not crowded when we were there. The food was mediocre. buffet style. They have two restaurants but you could only make a reservation once every three days and the food still wasn't that good. The best thing I had the entire time was a pumpkin ginger soup from one of the restaurants. I don't think any of the drinks I had besides 2 actually had alcohol in them. Better off ordering wine or beer if you want to feel any effects of them. During our trip, the entire city lost water. However, the way the resort handled it was unacceptable. They weren't forthcoming about the water issue, did not offer any solution or accommodations. They were checking people into their rooms and not even mentioning there was no water!!! We finally complained enough and asked for a new room to shower, Finally they put us in a new room. After that they called us and told us they needed to move us again. We refused unless we were compensated, so they let us stay. Shortly after that the power went out. Came back on after 30 minutes. The final night it was out for hours. The country is beautiful, would not stay at this resort again.

Upon arrival to this property, we thought that it was beautiful being promised on the premium luxury level a private check-in. We sat and waited in line to check in with every other person for almost 2 1/2 hours by the time we finally got our room keys we got up to our rooms. We did not get transportation mind you we carried all of our bags to our rooms ourselves, Are we down to the front desk to let them know and they said that they would be sending somebody after waiting at the room for almost an hour and a half we decided to go down to the premium bar to get a drink while we waited for them to fix our AC in your room, We went to the premium bar and ended up by the pool, returning to our room about six hours later that evening, only to find that the AC had not been looked at. We then traveled all the way back down to the lobby for them to come and fix our AC after having somebody come up around midnight they left around 1 o’clock in the morning from fixing the AC and the AC was finally blowing cooler air, but was not completely fixed. Then, Tuesday morning, we left the resort and went off into Costa Rica to see the country upon returning. We found an immense amount of ants running through our bathroom., We called the front desk to let them know and they said that they would send somebody they never sent anybody, Until later that evening the next morning, we woke up early Wednesday morning, and left the resort to go on an excursion upon returning from our volcanic sulfur mu

DO NOT go to this resort. It’s dirty, the staff is rude, the food is awful and we were without water for over 24 hours with no help. This place is awful.

The property had no running water! Could not take showers or go to restroom!

Upon check in, initially we were told private check in and that did not happen. We got to our room and had no hot water. Told front desk and nothing was done. Second day and still no hot water. Third day and resort lost all water completely for 28 hours. We were told multiple times it was the entire town that was out and that was not true. Some buildings had water and some didn’t. 28 hours without water. 4th day water is back on but still no hot water. We got back to our room around 2300 to find our ac unit had fallen off the wall exposing the black mold behind the unit. They had us move rooms but did not assist us with moving our luggage during a rain storm. I had contacted front desk multiple times daily about the hot water and they told me they would send someone up to fix it but this never happened. Front desk was absolutely zero help. We will be getting our money back from this resort. The hotel is extremely understaffed rude and not helpful. The food at the buffet and restaurants were cold and tasted like it was cooked the previous day. Stay far away from this resort. Rumors going around that the resort is on its way to closing. We had to leave the resort for meals because the food was so bad. I will say the food outside of the resort was amazing.

Our experience at the hotel was great ! Everyone was very friendly always helping us and making sure we are taken care of. They also offer plenty of activities to do in the hotel and dining options as well as buffet were great.

First off, the food quality needs to improve. Most of the food at the buffet for dinner was not edible. We found ourselves trying to eat just the pasta after a couple days and even that had a weird sauce on it. The breakfast was mainly eating eggs and French toast. We tried the room service, but the food was way over seasoned, and the burgers were nearly burnt. Secondly the mini bar is not even close to a mini bar. There are 2 of us in the room yet only one water. There were not even small bottles of liquor in the room, and we pay for premium. Next the room service was almost obsolete for our last 2 days. The next to the last day, our coffee was never restocked and on our last night, not only was the coffee not restoked, but room service never even came to our room. This brings me to the last part which is the service at the front desk. I called to get coffee the last night when nothing was serviced in our room and was told the person would be right there with the coffee. I waited 30 minutes and went to the front desk to get the coffee. All the night girl could say is what is your room number when I explained everything that had not been done and the call for coffee with no one showing up. The young man just kept telling her to go in the back and get it for me. I would say this has been the worst experience at an all-inclusive adult's resort that we have stayed at. The best part was On The Beach Tours (Larry), Theilor (bartender) and the bartender at the premium lounge.
