“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. “We absolutely loved our stay at Bowmore house. We booked the distillery view room. It was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, and we even got to sample the proprietary whisky. The staff kicked us informed of any possible issues with returning from the island via the ferry. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit.”

“The rooms were spotless. First night Room 1 - The shower couldnt be used as the thermostat was not working and only scalding hot water was output. I was moved to another room for the 2nd night. First night I was on the 3rd floor and found the steps to my room were too steep for me to negotiate. It was unpleasant. 2nd room I was on 1st Floor. Molly? housekeeping staff was very friendly, and I appreciated her assistance.”
