“We got there at 1:30pm after the ferry and it wasn’t the warmest welcome. The staff didn’t even ask our names. We were told to come back for the agreed upon 3pm, with no acknowledgement of the room status or if they were working on it. It left a bad taste. The rest of the stay was fine, but truly we did not feel welcome.”

“We spent a wonderful week in an apartment in Lews Castle Stornoway. The apartment was very spacious, light and with high ceilings as befits a castle. Its location was excellent, in extensive grounds and in walking distance of Stornoway. It also had views of the harbour. We could watch ferries and cruise ships come in and out.”
