“We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.”

“The cabin was perfect for us. Made a great base for exploring the island. If you don't have time for self-catering, there are several decent eating places within an easy walk.”

“Perfect location, heating took a while to warm the pod, shower and bath both great. The sign is missing for parking so not obvious where you should park. Other than that it was almost a 5 out of 5! ”

“This is a beautiful spacious cabin, warm, fresh and spotless. We had an excellent 2 nights there. The quality of the kitchen is high and the bathroom. As for the view from the front of the cabin over the river, it was gorgeous. We had 2 splendid evenings sitting out listening to multiple birds and enjoying the evening calm. ”
