Top Shanklin Beach Hotel Reviews
The Steamer Inn
"Clean, friendly staff, good food and drink. Breakfast included."
The Q Hotel
"Lovely big room overlooking the gravelled car park. A bit noisy at times when the staff were outside having a chat but didn’t really affect our stay. The bathroom door was difficult to open and close and needed a good shove! Weird light above the shower was attached with sticky pads. It was operated using a confusing remote control that could change the colour of the light. This fell off just after my husband got out of the bathroom and startled our daughter with the loud noise. Thankfully no one got hurt! Natalie, who was on breakfast duty, was very friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. An absolute gem!"
The Ocean View Hotel
"Lovely location, large rooms, comfortable bed. Drinks prices good with the Happy Hour and entertainment enjoyable. Curtains could with blackout linings or pull-down blinds as it was too light throughout the night at the front. Just had room-only, so unable to comment on the meals."
The Fig Tree Shanklin
"Lovely hotel and staff and very convenient Breakfast was delicious"
Medehamstede Hotel
"Staff were very helpful and friendly Had a couple of problems with the tv aerial and curtain rail collapsing and curtains falling off but James sorted it out for me."
The Havelock
"Thanks to our great hosts we had a fantastic stay at this lovely hotel. The location is great for the town or for heading to the beach. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was wonderful. We will definitely be back."
Claremont Guest House
"This was a lovely guesthouse, located very close (400m or so) from the cliff lift, and it was a short stroll to the old village. We were met upon our arrival by Jackie. She was very welcoming and helpful, she was amazing. The room was lovely, ours was newly decorated with a beach theme and consisted of a double room, leading onto a room with a double bed and further onto a bathroom with shower. The continental component of the breakfast had a great variety, and there was an amazing cooked breakfast also. Jackie catered for vegetarian and allergies terrifically well, my wife particularly enjoyed the vegetarian spinach and egg bake. Jackie even provided plant based spread and yoghurts for my daughter. I was really impressed that the room offered coffee bags, much better than the instant stuff, and a cafetiere was also provided alongside the breakfast. Sterling work. The provision of children's books in the room, and variety of games in the breakfast room and books for adults were also readily available. We were very appreciative of the provision of beach towels, which we put to good use at the beach. We enjoyed a terrific weekend here and would throughly recommend it to others."
Marlborough Hotel
