“Initial impression- good. Car park all gravel but plenty of parking. Reception - water on offer but it was empty. Were told our booking didn’t include breakfast but included 20% off food and soft drinks. Nice because we had forgotten. No information on where restaurant or bars not a big problem but it is nice to be told. We booked a table for dinner. Was given our room key. We asked if it was possible to walk along the river from the back of the restaurant… no access it is only from the other……

“From the staff, to the gorgeous rooms, the bar and restaurant areas, it was nigh on perfect. The air con unit occasionally got a bit noisy, but it was still a fabulous stay. “My husband and myself were very satisfied. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed. Our guest in the other room was very unhappy and should have asked for another room.
