![The church dates from the 13th century onwards, with several restorations in the 19th century. It consists of a western tower, nave with south porch, clerestory and north aisle, chancel with chapel, and vestry. The unbuttressed tower dates from the 13th century and is topped by a two tier lantern of lead-covered wood. The tower is rendered, with a battlemented parapet. There is also a bellcote at the east end of the nave. The nave has a clerestory to the north side, and the north arcade is of five bays with octagonal piers. There is a two bay arcade to the north chapel. The north aisle has a late medieval roof with large arched braces, but the roof to the north Chapel is somewhat earlier. There are two fonts, one of which is Norman. The pulpit dates from the early 17th century, and there is also a fine wooden lectern from circa 1500, with lions at the foot. “What a wonderful B&B to stay at, so close to Thursford Christmas Spectacular show, literally a 5 minute walk away. The staff ( who are employed by Thursford) are so charming and very accommodating with every wish and desire. Everything was spotless and every amenity you could ask for in the room (Ivy). The choice of breakfast ( of which there is plenty) is excellent and cooked fresh to order. Would we stay there again? A resounding Yes and thankyou again to all the Staff who made the one night...

“ Booked overnight stay following a music event nearby. Booked Riverside Hotel, but they obviously own several properties nearby. Our room was in a converted house up a side road so sadly no Riverside view. Room was very preventable. Needs a net curtain at window to aid privacy, better quality mattresses and pillows. Cleaner needs to look up & dust light fittings. ”
