"The staff are wonderful. Very helpful, respectful and polite. Complimentary bottle of water and cookie at check in was nice. The free breakfast was decent, the restaurant space was very accommodating.. always someone on top of cleaning up and replenishing. Unfortunately hotel is very old and in dire need of renovations. Old carpets in hallways, old paint. Elevator felt like a death trap because it was so small, noisy and very old. The room was clean, beds were comfortable but needed a gut renovation of the bathroom and closet. Old school dial timer heat lamp thing, and shower looked like something at least 50 years old with stained blueish tub. Abandoned hotel across the street made the area feel underdeveloped, which is far from the truth. I love state college, great energy there but I'll pass on this establishment."

"We had an amazing stay over the weekend! The staff was great, very helpful. The rooms were clean, surprisingly quiet, and spacious. Breakfast was good, coffee wasn't bad. I would say the best part was definitely the staff, they make you feel right at home just like staying at a family members house."
