Cozy and Peaceful

We spent four nights here and had a great time! Beautiful area and a short drive into town. We enjoyed the rustic cabin charm and hanging out on the back patio/hot tub. Overall a great experience! Property owners were very nice and responsive as well!

Great location, not what we expected.

For starters we had a great time at this cabin, the location was beautiful, full blown rustic charm but Everything wasn’t as nice as other reviews claimed. We specially picked this house for a couple of reasons, the hot tub, the reviews stating how clean and nice the house was and the location. The hot tub did not work, the owner did keep up communication with us and he had people out to try and fix the hot tub but unfortunately it wasn’t fixable. The bbq is broken and was dirty nasty from the last people who stayed. There was even charcoal in it which tells me no one even cleaned it or checked on it before we were to rent it. The carpets or the floors in the house were dirty, my daughter had black feet from walking around with no shoes on. This is unacceptable! Pillows on the couch were ripped with stuffing hanging out. Dishes in the kitchen were dirty, we left the house cleaner then we found it! We would love to stay here again but would love for things to be fixed before we do.

Quiet and Lovely

This cabin is very quaint and also spacious. Would be great for a family, though it was only the two of us staying there this week. Neighborhood is quiet and about 15-17 minutes from town, which we enjoyed. Hot tub is perfect.

Look no further for a perfect little getaway cabin!

We stayed for a weekend (Friday evening - Sunday morning). It was a perfect weekend getaway for our group of 4. We were able to venture out around the lakes, beaches, casinos with no issues. The house/cabin itself was cozy and comfortable! It made it a little hard to leave. Hot tub was amazing. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Cabin For Skiing At Sierra-At-Tahoe

Dear Reader, are you scouring VRBO for an affordable cabin for your South Tahoe ski vacation? One suitable for a crowd? With a frickin' fantastic hot tub? Look no further! Mike & Cynthia's cabin has literally everything you need for a wonderful Tahoe vacation. An easy drive to Sierra, it has parking for possibly four cars (two in the garage and two in the driveway though we didn't park in the garage). It has enough beds for 10 people, and the beds are pretty comfy. I can't be certain that they are all comfy because I only slept in one of the upper floor queens, but it was lovely. We were kinda cold the first night then found tons of extra blankets in the closets! The kitchen is a little tight, but very sufficient for cooking a good meal. Lots of pots and pans, cabin quality, and every utensil you would need. If you want to make a fire in the wood stove, do bring firestarter or a hatchet because the abundant fire wood is all in big pieces. We also brought our own lighter, though not certain if matches or lighters were provided. There are plenty of towels, but bring your own soap/body wash, and might want to bring shampoo though one of our showers had shampoo and conditioner. You might want to bring an extra roll of paper towels as there was only 1/8 of a roll provided. We didn't use the washer dryer, but other reviewers said to bring detergent. If you want to use the dishwasher, bring some tablets from home because we couldn't find any in the cabin. In summary, this is a clean, rustic, old school cabin that has been furnished for comfort and convenience. It's affordable for a crowd with a great hot tub that is plenty hot (102), clean, large (could fit 5-7 adults), and scrumptiously bubbly.

Nice little getaway

This is my first time renting a cabin so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Overall, this place is nice and pretty well equipped for the kitchen area. Hot tub is a nice addition. Cabin cleanliness definitely has room for improvement.

Finally Found Paradise!

This is the fist time in years I cried because I didn't want to leave our vacation spot! This home is tucked away in the woods away from traffick and noise. It is surrounded by a well built deck - the front is a great place to enjoy the stars at night. We spent hours each morning in the back inhaling that TAhoe smell, watching chipmunks, blue jays, woodpeckers, and marvelling at the towering pines surrounding us!!! I lterally CRIED when I stepped out into the back the first time . It was everything I had hoped for!! The jaccuzzi is large, clean, and set in the backdrop of the woods as well! Where do you find THAT!!!!! The rustic decor of the home lends itself to the real Tahoe which is what we wanted. The couches are comfortable, there is a wonderful wood burning stove, bathrooms are great, beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. It is close to Fallen Leaf Lake, Camp Richardson, bike riding, horse riding. It is very affordable. I spoke with the owners and they are kind and friendly! My husband and I spent a big part of time trying to figure out how and when we can go back. We have finally found the one place we both love and the house and its location had a lot to do with that!!! I HIGHLY recommend it but am a bit reluctant as I don't want it to be so booked up that we can't get in anymore - LOL!! Thank you for providing a place where we could get refueled in such beauty! For us it truly was paradise!

Great Location!

Thank you for providing a unique cabin experience in Tahoe! We were able to go all over the area as it was so conveniently located. My only complaint was the downstairs bedroom's mattress. It was very firm and felt like sleeping on a board.

Sierra Ski Trip

This is a great rustic cabin. We had so much fun basing out of this house to Squaw, Heavenly, and Kirkwood. The cabin has a nice dining area, lots of sleeping surfaces, fantastic bathrooms, and nice decks for aprés ski. The hot tub is large and very, very nice. The best part was making arrangements with the owners. Mike and Cynthia gave us so much information about the area we made several good decisions based on their input.
