“Not our normal sort of place to stay but ideal for our circumstances. Lovely facilities and folk staying at the same time. Good self catering shared kitchen though only as we left did we tumble to the fact that Helen had provided some communal consumables in the kitchen - our loss.”

“Hotel needs updating… It feels very tired. My room was what looked like an old dilapidated shed in the back of the hotel. Room was as clean as possible… But rug looked ancient, side table was put together with plywood and a white tablecloth. Three very large dining rooms with absolutely nobody in them. Would not recommend staying here.”

“Easy to find. Private parking down the driveway. Extremely well presented inside from a decoration and artwork perspective. The bedroom I had was very well put together from an esthetics perspective. Also, a nice, and well maintained garden to wander around. There is an honesty bar with a good choice of whiskeys and other drinks, plus another larger lounge to relax in. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of options. The owners will recommend local places to eat, and during breakfast……

“The breakfast was full Scottish with cereal loads of tea and coffee and different juices set you up for the day , room was clean with a hairdryer, tea & coffee and TV. Staff were friendly.”

“Room was spacious. Breakfast room staffer (older gentleman) was enthusiastic and helpful. On our second day he remembered us and came over as soon as we were seated to say he had already requested my husband's gluten free toast before we even asked. Lots of breakfast options, gluten free toast available on request and is made separately in the kitchen so there is no risk of cross contamination using the communal toaster. Had a great hot stone massage at the spa. Only downfall was limited……
