This hotel was not what I expected. It did slightly resemble the pictures but the details and cleanliness were not satisfactory. Upon arrival a strong smoke smell was present, not what you would expect from a smoke free hotel. The bed sheets had black lint in places on them as if they were not washed from the traveler before. Several things were broken (ex. The telephone) and it appeared as if the bed side tables had not even been wiped off. Check out was easy and coffee was available as promised. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Bed bugs and bad cleaning

Posted Mar 19, 2017
Friend moved out when they saw bed bugs. We should have too but came home all bit up. The hotel sheets and everything else was dirty. Told the hotel about the sheets and they simply gave me more - didn't even send some one to change them. In the morning multiple police cars were in the parking lot searching someone's car for drugs. Don't stay here!

Business Trip

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: Not much
Cons: Work on better breakfasts & keep the grounds clean.
Location: Good location
Continental Breakfast was a joke! I don't call granola bars, oatmeal and packaged muffins a continental breakfast! Rooms were ok, but 1) they didn't have a hair dryer in the room 2) no utensils in the kitchen...not even a dish cloth to wipe up spills, etc. 3) the parking lot was terrible...you know that you will have smokers so please put some ashtrays outside 4) there was a tornado warning when I stayed and they had no evacuation procedure! Apparently they don't care enough about their guests!

Bad smell

Posted Mar 7, 2017
Pros: The late check in and price.
Cons: Security entrance, smoking areas, mattresses, online booking ( I did not get what I chose), and the breakfast.
Location: Great location!
I chose a room with a king size bed online, but only received a queen. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The back entrance, which has a security door, did not close properly. We could hear people go in and out the back entrance all night and to early morning hours. The worst was the smell. The odor from people smoking near the hotel doors or in other areas generated a musty smell in the room.

Awesome service! Clean facility and room

Posted Feb 5, 2017
We only needed to stay for one night, but we easily could have stayed for longer. The hotel had everything we needed and then some. The highlight of our stay was Chris, the gentleman working the front desk. There was an issue with our expedia booking, but he called expedia for us and helped us work through it!

Quiet hitel

Showing some age but was clean and quiet. Booked for two days, didn't know maids would not bring fresh towels, had to ask and bring used ones down. Minor detail. Would stay again.

You get what you pay for.

Pros: It felt safe, it was generally quiet, and it was clean.
Cons: Update mattresses, replace broken phones, only require the less-common appliances to be requested.
Location: In the middle of Springfield, so very close to a lot of activity (i.e. restaurants, things to do).
I only spent $50 for a room, so with that in mind, the room was fine. However, if I had not found that deal, I would have been disappointed. There was nothing terribly wrong, but the receptionist made some unnecessary comments, the people in the room across the hall were occasioanlly noisy, the phone was missing half of its buttons, the bed was kind of stiff, and the appliances (e.g. the coffee maker) are provided after request. All petty stuff, but that's why I'm rating the hotel 3/5.
