Hotel in good locationPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Price and location.
Cons: The reading light in the room was inadequate for reading in bed.
Location: Northampton and Amherst are wonderful towns with many coffee shops, bookstores, interesting boutiques.
The hotel is located mid-way between Northampton, MA and Amherst, MA, so is convenient to both locations -- but the hotel's location is in a not-very-interesting spot (strip malls, fast food, etc.) and it is necessary to drive to either of the other locations. However, it is very close (0.3mi) to a wonderful used book store! The price, however, is good compared to prices in either of those towns.

Okay stayPosted Jun 23, 2015 on Hotels
Central location to where we needed to be (less than 10 minutes from UMASS and downtown Northampton). Friendly staff. Our room had a musty smell to it, or like somebody smoked a cigar in it within the last week even though it was non-smoking. Extremely basic accommodations but bed was comfy.

Clean and basicPosted Jun 16, 2015 on Hotels
I was in town overnight on business, only needing a place to sleep. Having experienced a number of dirty hotel rooms in the past, cleanliness was of primary importance. This hotel fit the bill just fine. It was not fancy by any means. The mattress was lumpy and hard; the pillows were flat; and the single full-size towel was very small. The A/C was one of those noisy old-school units. But, check in and checkout were a breeze. I felt safe, and the room was very clean. Flat-screen TV had lots of channels. I'd recommend this place, but bring your own pillow and towel if you are fussy about those things.

Not muchPosted Jun 15, 2015
Well one other review says it doesn't suck. That sums it up. Staff was not friendly, TV did not work, wifi was non existent even though it was advertised. Room was clean and the shower had hot water. it did what it needed to do, give us a place to sleep for 8 hours. Very expensive for what you get.

AdequatePosted Jun 11, 2015 on Hotels
Not bad for the price. Nothing fancy but, nothing really to complain about.... except the toilet paper. Must be the cheapest stuff you can get. To tear off a sheet leaves you covered in a puff of white dust. Gross.

The hotel was convenient and comfortable, particularly for the price, which was significantly below that of other hotels in the area.
