They even offered me a ride to the train station when the next train was coming within half an hour. The staff were very friendly and helpful to all patrons. The room was clean and inviting. We loved staying in one of the many rooms in the main house. Not only is the town quaint, it is only a short drive away from Salem and other parks in the area. Room was very clean, big comfortable bed, and lovely view from the balcony. Only complaint is that the walls are very thin and we could hear the people next door very loudly, and could hear outside very loud as well. We did not stay in the historic mansion but instead in a crappy hotel room. First room had debris in the beds. Second room had paint peeling from the ceiling, ripped shower curtain, and a spider living in the bathroom. Heard every step that the upstairs patron made. Owner claimed that cleaners came daily however the dust on the keurig begs to differ. Extremely disappointed in spending so much money on a bad motel room. Be aware you are likely going to stay in a 1950’s era motor lodge motel.
