THE BEST LOCATION! The comfortable sleeping for 3 adult people (extra foam mattress available, too). All the conveniences of modern living, like A/C, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with all necessities provided, Wi-Fi, etc. – on the sea shore! You are in the USA territory! No passport is required to enter the US Virgin Islands. The condo is perfectly located at the south of the St. Thomas island, on the shore of Caribbean Sea, close to Charlotte Amelia, Red Hood and Megan Beach, proclaimed to be one of the few best beaches in the world. Experience the unique, island’s climate of US Virgin Islands: constant cold breeze from the ocean and the warm sun makes it easy to relax, and get that "island tan". This condo location is ideal to lay down and relax, with full privacy, and conveniences. Easy dining in close neighborhood! One of the best seafood restaurants on the island is located on our grounds, literally steps from the majestic pool! You eat in open space, steps from the ocean… affordable meal. (On Thursdays evening there are offered all-you-can-eat shrimp dishes. Do not miss it!) There are other eateries within walking distance, like IGGIS (temporarily moved to another location due to hurricanes, but nearby as well), and Bolongo Resort seafood restaurant, on the beach as well. You can rent kayak and other equipment from the Resort, or reserve the diving expedition as well. Book at Red Hood (8 minutes driving) excursions by the boat, end ferry to nearby islands; St. John (20 minutes), and St. Croix. You can visit six British Virgin Islands as well; you will be however required to have the passport to enter BVI. We strongly recommend renting a car to allow people to be free to explore the islands. Taxes are also available, and can be reserved over the phone. Our place, located in Watergate Villas East, Bolongo Bay, building #17, experienced less damage caused by hurricanes than other places on the island. We observed with awe how fast nature, and the people on the island, recuperate from the hurricane’s damage. The condo’s telephone and cable TV are expected to be restored soon, but we adjusted our rates due to lack of these services, temporarily. We provide comfortable sleeping arrangements for 3 people (king size bed, twin size enfolding love seat). Bedding linens provided. Come here, and experience the tropical paradise in this peaceful, and convenient environment of this condo, in St. Thomas island. It was centrally located between Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook, which gave us easy access to the island's beaches, grocery stores and, St John fairy terminal. The two on-site restaurants (Mim's and Iggy's Oasis) were both terrific and within walking distance of the unit. The condo itself was clean and well stocked with everything you would need for a week's stay. It is just steps to the ocean front pool which was very warm and cleaned daily. We had a minor issue accessing the condo when we first arrived but, it was handled quickly by the owner (Yolanta) and we were soon on our way to a very enjoyable stay! The beach itself is beautiful to look at but, is not the best for swimming. This was no problem for us however because, we rented a Jeep and explored the many fabulous beaches on both St Thomas and St John. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great value with numerous amenities. We look forward to future stays at this fabulous Bolongo Bay condo! ##### Chris P. Everything you need is right there. This condo is in a great location in St. Thomas VI. The bathroom was very clean and was updated. The condo is right on the water. The pictures are exact. The spot was great, but I would recommend renting a car. I had a bit of trouble getting taxis at times. Looking straight at the Ocean. You can hear the waves.The TV was upgraded since the photos in the posting were taken. They have a 43" Roku 4k TV and Viya cable. There is a small oven which we didn't use since we ate out. Blender for daiquiris which is super to have on hand. Make sure it is locked in facing forward or it won't turn on. Shower pressure and hot water good. You can walk the beach to Bolongo Bay Resort to eat or Mim's onsite for dinner. The pool has a foot wash which is perfect for cleaning off after visiting the beaches. Owner's were fast to respond when contacted through VRBO. Bolongo Bay just to make sure you know is not the best swimming beach. We've stayed in this complex before and the view and pool are worth it. We always rent a car and visit many of the other beaches. Sea weed is a bit random so one day a beach is clear and the next covered in sea weed. They try and clean it up but if a beach is hit try another one because it takes several days to remove it. Just an FYI for anyone who stays in St. Thomas this time of year. We have always found clear beaches. Magens Bay and Honeymoon Beach we have never seen any but... that was our experience. Last year Lindqvist Beach had it and this year clear. The studio has plenty of dishes and silverware etc... for whatever your needs. We like this complex for many reasons including good roads and parking. ##### Gary B. We spent 10 days at this condo. It is as described and very well outfitted with dishes, spices and even a bottle of wine to welcome us. The pros were: 1\. the location to the pool 2\. well-stocked cupboards with nearly every glass, plate, pan, utensil, etc. that you would need (unless you like to drink shaken martinis - then bring your own equipment - and not a dealbreaker) 3\. we needed assistance from the on-site manager who was very helpful 4\. the bed was so comfortable - and this is not always the case at vrbo properties 5\. there was a safe in the closet that I would never have expected The cons were mostly things not in the control of the owner. However, they are mentionable: 1\. Iggie's has not rebuilt since Hurricane Irma (2017) and is currently open in the resort next door. We felt like we were treated as second class citizens when we ate at the resort. They ask whether you are a guest of the resort. We went there several times during the week and tipped well, but they never curbed their attitude. 2\. Mim's restaurant on site is open only for dinner and pricey 3\. we referred to ourselves as 'landlocked'. Since we did not rent a car, our only options were taxi or walk. Iggie's and Mim's are the only walkables. Taxis were expensive and there is a list of taxis in the condo, but none answered their phone or would service that area 4\. we were without TV. we couldn't figure it out and didn't want to ask for help 5\. the bay did not look good, no one swam or snorkeled ##### Lori J. The owner, Yolanta, was easy to work with and very responsive to our questions. Check-in/out was easy. The condo location was perfect for us as we had friends staying just a 5 minute walk down the beach at Bolongo Bay Resort. We have been to St Thomas numerous times on a cruise so we had done the tourist stuff at that time. We really didn’t go anywhere this trip as we visited with our friends down the beach and went to Flamboyan on The Bay Resort (near Magens Beach) to visit another friend. The condo was clean, equipped with everything we needed, and easy to walk to Bolongo Resort for food and drinks if we wanted. The only downside during our stay was that the pool for Watergate (which was literally right outside our condo) was closed for repairs. We did know this ahead of time, so it wasn’t a surprise to us. We were able to walk up the hills to 2 other pools at nearby resorts. When we were leaving, the pool reopened, and it looked wonderful. They have new furniture and you can’t beat the view. Not to be forgotten was our dinner at Mim’s Seaside Bistro on our last night. The restaurant was right at the resort and the food was delicious. It’s mainly seafood, but since neither of us eat seafood we had Italian dishes - they were delicious and portions were good. We would definitely recommend them.
