Stafford Creek Vacations from $741

The beach was the best thing about this property. The hotel rooms are old looking. The air conditioner made soo much noise that I couldn’t sleep. The phones did not work in both the rooms. I had mentioned to front desk but they did not fix them. The vents looked rusty/moldy but could be just old(not sure). The pillows were too soft and gave me neck pain. I did ask for a firmer pillow but did not receive one. Restaurants were not good. Over cooked steak at the Bahamas Restaurant and very dry or overcooked lobster. Japanese restaurant was okay but the host was not very pleasant to the guests or the staff. There are 4 restaurants on the resort, We ended up eating at the buffet most of the time. Breakfast and dinner at the buffet were okay, lunch was the better menu option. They did not have a lot of tropical fruit, just the same stuff every day (honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple,grapefruit). Jerk chicken spot by the pool was good. Waiters and bartenders had no personality, they weren’t very warm and welcoming. They didn’t smile or have conversation. It was just a job for them and I get it (overworked and under paid). Some were nice and helpful. Wish the cafe bar opened early, 10:00am was too late. The shows were okay, stage is small and soo loud that it just sounded like noise with high treble. You couldn’t really hear anything. Very small resort, good for elderly folks as not too much walking involved. I personally wouldn’t stay there again but you can go and see for yourself.

It took me a while to decide which property to book. I finally settled on harborside. The harborside is more quaint and has a more of a motel feel to it. I would strongly recommend it as we had an entire apartment with fully equipped kitchen. Do not take your shoes off in the room! The beds and bedding were very comfortable and clean. Right across the street and less than 5 minutes of walking we had a little shopping center with local shops which was very convenient. Harborside is about 15 minutes from the beach but shuttles are running every 5-10 minutes in the morning. I didn’t like that we couldn’t check in on time because the appointments were not cleaned. The check in line was extremely long. Even after checking in, around 6pm, they did not have any pillowcases and I had to call 4 times to get them. Not a 5 star experience!
