Good experience

Good very clean hotel with friendly stuff. Nice, but a bit small pool for the size of the hotel. Good breakfast. Convenient location - few minutes walk to the sea and many good restaurants around.

Good

Last minute we reserved and arrived almost at midnight, it was good and efficient only the sofa bed was not ready dressed to use so that was my only bad thing about it!

The hotel is overall good. But the WiFi and Tv entertainment is appalling. WiFi keeps disconnecting after every 20-30 mins. TV has only 30 local channels and no satellite connection. The reception was empty when we arrived there. Waited for 15 mins before we decided to go into the restaurant and ask an employee to help us finding someone. Breakfast is only decent. Lots of variety but quality is average. Coffee is only available on self service machines, hence could not get a barista made coffee in the whole hotel. The pool area is good with the bar next to it providing good cocktails. The room on lower floors which was originally offered to us smells of pool water (chlorine I guess) but we were moved to 6th floor after being asked to, which was nice. House keeping is good, they ironed the requested clothes on time but they do not provide an iron for the room and instead you have to come down yourself and iron your clothes in their iron room. Inside bar staff is a bit rude and not bothered. Casino owned by the hotel is not a casino and is mom operative anyways. Close to all good restaurants and taxi stand and bus station, so very convenient. Overall, if I go bank to Bulgaria, I would not stay in the same hotel.

Other hotel guests were out of control, lying around reception on sofas for hours, shouting at each other. The experience at breakfast was a free for all, the waste of food by guests was not controlled, the management had lost control. I requested an additional bed at booking but got charged another 90 euro for a sofa bed. I have stayed at many hotels for business and pleasure and would say that this was one of my worst experiences in a long time, I would not recommend this hotel to any family or friends, or other travellers. It’s not a 4 star hotel in my opinion, at best it’s 3 star. Will never stay with this poor hotel chain again.

The parking is a misrepresentation, it’s on the street and anyone could mess with your vehicle. Buffet dinner is mediocre, and the promise of a sandy beach is a downright lie. You walk a few blocks to the beach and it is municipal, no lounger or sunshade. You are not allowed to take the pool towels to the beach. The staff definitely need retraining, as they try to bully you around. Loads of hotels closer to beach ….Melia..
