“Staff are overworked. They have to check you in while serving at the bar. We were charged by Expedia and charged a second time when we checked in for the stay. Expedia refused to assist in the resolution, saying we had to work it out with the hotel. ”

“The room was very nice and comfortable . Difficulty with soap dispenser in room as unable to get soap out for washing so advisable to bring own handwashing items . Staff very helpful . Cooked breakfast poor”

“Basic single room, not very comfortable bed, and i supose ia m not used to the road noise as i was kept awake by the traffic. The positive note was that it was cheap for £ 53.00 P/N. so i am not complaining. You pay for what you get. ”

“Arrived late, the bar was pleasantly lively, but as I had been driving I unfortunately did not end up going back for a drink as the food was finished serving, granted it was 9pm. Room was nice and clean, everything was there and nice touch with the biscuits and coffee pods, really liked it. Breakfast was fantastic, service was great too. Will definitely be returning.”

“Light and airy room, recently modernised. Loved the sky light and electronic blind! Bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom and shower well planned and fresh. Staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style. Well laid out and fresh. Extra options could be ordered which was a nice touch. ”

“To be honest it was very loud from the gig place from across the road (Saturday) but it calmed down & it was quiet for the rest of the stay in spir of the house's very central location (& lots of good music in town). I had an issue with the window & appreciated that the hotel owner responded & resolved the situation.The rooms are lovingly decorated & warm, and the bed was very comfy. ”
