“This is a charming bed and breakfast. Anmenities are high end, so is the service. We stayed in a room circa 1752. The bedding however was more recent and very luxurious. “THIS is a guilty pleasure. Love the location and isolation of this property. They have a couple dining options and great room service. “I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it was not the usual cookie-cutter image I had in my mind. I had a queen suite, it was spacious, clean, and contemporary. The shower was fantastic! It was large and quiet, unlike so many chain hotel showers that could wake the dead with their banging and moaning. “Good location. Great staff. They even let us have our room 2.5 hrs earlier than the check in time. That was a bonus it self. We are traveling on our Harleys so we were able to get our things in the room before we went out site seeing. All in all i would definitely recommend.”

“Parking is a paid option, but amazingly convenient and worth every penny. I stay at a half dozen Residence Inns a year, and this location is the most walkable with the most nearby dining options of any. Views from some rooms are not great, but that's not why you chose to stay here. It's my new favorite stopover point between NC and the northeast, beating out Waynesboro, and both Richmond locations. I look forward to staying here again. ”
