“My wife and I stayed here for one night 20-8-26, the place is really easy to find, located in a village out in the countryside a few miles from Carlisle. Everything about the place is great, the food, the beer, the location and car parking. Best of all are the staff, really friendly and helpful. “Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to share as when we realized it was too late to request……

“The location was excellent, walking distance from town centre shops, pubs & restaurants. Hotel also had a car park and nice bar with a free pool table. Owner was very helpful with check in and explaining where everything was. It is not trying to be a luxurious hotel, but for a cheap room for the night to break up a long drive it was perfect for my needs. The only real negative I had is that the bed wasn't the comfiest but I still slept fine.”

"The room was very clean and had just been renovated, making it feel much more comfortable. The front desk staff were not particularly friendly and could improve their customer service. However, the restaurant staff provided excellent service and deserve recognition. The swimming pool, sauna, and jacuzzi facilities were excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends."
