“Lovely and simple check in , great communication , lovely apartment. ”

“I needed an overnight stay en route to scotland . Cartref was easy to get to from M6 and felt clean and cosy. Traffic was a little noisy ( I had to open window due to heatwave) but the host thoughtfully supplied earplugs as well as various other "extras " for myself and the dog. Shared bathroom was clean and easily accessible. I would recommend Cartref if visiting Carlisle or just passing through and i would certainly consider staying here again if in the area.”

“The overall status of the hotel is nice, we arrived quite later at 1:00am, but the housekeeping starts knocking doors from 9:30 all the way to 10:40 (about 4 times) to ask people to check out... they really did what their boss told...”

“The elevator was broken. The first room I was given smelled like urine and the windows were painted shut, so there was no air. My second room was much better, but the shower stopped running midway through. I had to use the hot and cold faucets in the tub to rinse off. The staff was pleasant.”

“I stayed for one night and appreciated having an affordable place close to the station, with plenty of shops nearby. I was also happy to find a kettle with coffee and tea, which made for a fresh and pleasant morning. The only downside was that there was no hand soap or shampoo provided, which would have made the stay more comfortable. Overall, I’m satisfied with what I received for the price and happy with my stay”

“Very friendly staff, our room was spacious and clean. It was an accessible room and the bathroom had plenty of handrails, just one problem the bath was too steep and high too get into for someone with accessibility issues. A walk In shower would have been more accessible. Breakfast was great. I had to go back for extra sausage lol”
