“Staying at Maquenque Lodge was a pleasant surprise as staying in the middle of the rainforest was an unknown experience. The staff was very welcoming, there for all of your needs, and very helpful. The Wifi was outstanding throughout the property, AC units for the treehouses were perfect for the humid conditions and the jacuzzi was a fun bonus. Plenty of activities to do on your stay and be prepared to be doing lots of walking as houses are a bit away from restaurant.But, it's worth the hike as……

The grounds of the property are beautiful and interesting with lots of birds and butterflies (note there is some small construction going on at the moment but this didn’t affect us). It was a relaxing and peaceful place for a few days with excellent hiking nearby to the waterfalls and river swimming pools. “We really enjoyed our stay at La Selva. Loved the guided tour that is included and also did a bird tour on the property which was great. Both guides were very knowledgeable and we had a great time on both tours. Multiple trails on the property to explore on our own. The staff was very friendly and helpful. “Gorgeous and unique property close to the Poas Nacional Park. The views were breathtakingly beautiful! We stayed in the Junior Dome and had a relaxing and zen like stay. The property was very cute and quiet in June. There was a nearby dog barking nonstop from a neighbor but not much you can do about that.”
