“View”

“The recidense experience was far beyond my expectation. Room was very spacious with almost all necessary facility ready, wifi was superior unlike some other hotels in isle of skye. Moreover, the hotel has a unique view of sunset. Imagine how’s the feeling when u gasp a glass of whisky looking at the sun dips into the sea right out side the lounge. Food generally ok.”

“This property is a former hunting lodge and has some fabulous character and charm with some updates that enhanced the property, including a beautiful restaurant offering locally sourced dishes. We tried the salmon, cullen skink, venison and beef, all of which were top notch. Wendy was our server and she went above and beyond to take care of us. We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer as the area and this hotel have so much to offer. We stayed in the Gate House……

“Noisy location right near the plaza made worse by a food truck that pulled up at midnight. Room was small but fine except for the noisiness. Breakfast was ok. Hotel itself was beautifully presented. If it werent for the noisy people in the plaza the spot is perfect.”

Checking in was very easy, the property was lovely and clean, the breakfast was exceptional and lovingly cooked in front of us by Jim and Paulline who were very kind and welcoming. We were only on Skye for 72 hours so we'll definitely be coming back and would feel lucky to stay here again next time!”

“This was my favorite place of our 3 week stay in Scotland, we loved it. The cottage was perfect, cozy, quiet and comfortable. We loved the area, easy to get into Portree or anywhere else we wanted. This would be one of my first picks to stay in again!”

“We loved staying at Hughes Hideaway. Our favorite part was that there were little lambs/ sheep in the pasture next to the house for part of our stay. It also had really nice Mountain View’s as well as a little peekaboo sea view. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. It was away from the busyness, it was just a really charming spot to stay. We would definitely come back again.”
