“The cottage felt very welcoming when we arrived - someone put a lot of love and hard work into fitting it out. The surroundings were just breathtaking - being located right on the shore of a lock with plenty of birds flying around - and sheep in the driveway. An evening's or early morning's stroll over the rocks around the loch was a particular pleasure, and the quietness was almost tangible, broken only by the gulls screaching, the sheep bleating, and the very occasional car passing the end of……
