“One of kind small boutique hotel near the port in Amorgos. I was really not sure what to expect when arriving to Amorgos. It was our first time there and the Amorgion hotel was sort of a last minute booking. From arrival our family of four was completely blown away with how beautiful the hotel was itself with its amazing positioning in the hills and it's view of the sea. We were picked up at the Ferry and the check in process was a breeze. The interaction with the staff was extremely pleasant……

“A very simple, quaint place. The rooms were small and clean. The bathroom appeared newly renovated. It was nice to have a kitchenette with a sink, separate from the bathroom. The place had a homelike feeling, with a couple lemon loaf slices upon our arrival. The staff was kind and helpful, though there were some inconsistencies in the room service provided (towels being taken away and not replaced, coffee not being replenished). The staff was helpful in that we were able to leave our bags in one……

“Had a fantastic couple of days stay here. Communication with the hosts were great - they knew when to expect us off the ferry and helped with our luggage up to our room. Room was spacious and modern with the best view from the balcony overlooking the sea. Prime sunset spot! Bathrooms clean and good size. There is a fridge and coffee machine. Location is at the end of the Amorgos road which is perfect as it’s lovely and quiet, but only a few minutes walk and you’re at the restaurants. Right……

Despite his humble refusal to accept a tip, citing it as part of his service, we insisted as a token of our gratitude. Michael consistently demonstrated kindness, even delivering breakfast cake each morning without intrusion, leaving it discreetly on our outdoor table if the door was closed. “Mein Ehemann und ich waren mit unserem 19-jährigen Sohn für 4 Tage im Vigla Hotel. Es hat uns unglaublich gut gefallen. Das Hotel ist klein und fein und liegt auf einem Berghügel mit Blick auf die Bucht unten. Der Poolbereich ist sehr schön, mit einer Bar, wo wir gerne einen Sundowner zu uns genommen haben. Der Pool war sehr angenehm. Das Personal war durchweg unglaublich freundlich und irgendwie fühlt man sich sehr heimelig und sofort angekommen. Die Tochter des Besitzers war unfassbar nett……

Wir haben das Frühstück mit dem frisch gebackenen Brot, Joghurt mit frischen Früchten und dem liebevoll zubereiteten Cappuccino sehr genossen.
