“Wonderful staff, stunning historic building and the room was beautifully decorated. The bed was comfortable and amenities were great. It was walking distance to many nice shops and restaurants. The resturant in the lobby was very nice. ”

“This was such a nice property. Its hard to find a house on the river and this one was perfect. It was so relaxing to be able to sit down by the river. I stayed there by myself, but this house could easily accommodate 20 people. I would stay here again for sure.”

“Great getaway and beautiful river venue - good consideration for large gatherings close to DFW; Friendly and knowledgeable staff; however, we stayed on a Tuesday night and staff left at 5 so no access to recreation cabin, ice, lodge until next morning. Close enough to Mineral Wells to get dinner and drinks at the few places that were open on a Tuesday evening. Fishing dock was pleasant and strolling the grounds a unique experience. Bed just okay. Room and BR extremely clean and quiet. No need……

“This is a converted shed, so it is very small. That being said, it was comfortable and easy to manuver around in. The floor plan works and I was very impressed by that. Perfect for one or two adults. The loft bed was comfortable but you cannot sit up so be aware of that. I came in on a day where the weather dropped from 70's to 30's and woke up freezing. The fire place did not work, nor did the heater. However, the property manager was always quick to respond and did bring us a space heater. I……

“The location and view is very nice. The cabin furnishings are excellent and it was very cozy. Just what we needed for our visit to Mineral Wells.”

“No problem with the house. It was clean and plenty of beds. There was a problem sleeping due to dogs barking (probably at cats) from 10:00 to 4:30 am. You might try the outdoor dog barking deterrent. It cost less than $30. Maybe a coffee table in the living room for drinks. Only one bedroom had a mirror so 4 women crowding one bathroom is not the best. Consider a cover for the patio coming summer.”

“Great little cabin in the hills. Just as described. Food and groceries nearby, yet far enough away from town to be in the country. 6 minutes from Mineral Wells Fossil Park. Really enjoyed it !!! ”

“We had a wonderful stay in the charming barn. We relaxed on the front porch and enjoyed the views and frequent visits from the chickens. We spent time in both Fort Worth and Weatherford, and appreciated coming back to a peaceful retreat.”

“The property was amazing!!! We stayed two nights with our family and close friends. Our boys were playing at Rocker B for a baseball tournament. The owner’s were very nice and easy to work with. We loved our stay and short drive to the ball fields. Highly recommend staying here. We will be back!”
