“This property is a hidden gem. We used it as our base for a short trip to OBX. Columbia is a peaceful town with a lovely boardwalk along the Scuppernong River and this home is located within walking distance of the small main street and boardwalk. Coming from the triangle area, it was nice to have a shorter drive to get to our accommodations coming down and to be ahead of the OBX return traffic coming home. Plus, it's so much more affordable than staying right on the coast. The house itself was……

“Greatly enjoyed our stay here for a week in February. The house was home base for us as we visited the three nearby National Wildlife Refuges. House was very clean and stocked with all essentials. Clear communications with the host added to the positive experience. Was third winter we have visited Albemarle/Pamlico peninsula to view wildlife. When we return, we will definitely try and book this lodging again.”

“The hotel was a great value for the price. Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast had waffle maker, bread, muffins and cereal. The bathroom remodel could have been better. Our toilet rocked and clearly wasn’t properly mounted to the floor, the faucet in the tub was not flush with the wall. All mostly cosmetic issues, but if you are looking for an inexpensive room and don’t plan on spending a lot of time in the hotel, this is perfect.”
