I highly recommend Interlochen State Park, especially if you're traveling with your pups. The home itself was well laid out and SO warm and cozy. This is a pet friendly place, not being a pet owner, I should have considered that there would be remnants of pet hair. I had to vaccum the living room furniture prior to sitting on it. “This was our 3rd time staying at the property and it was great as usual. We couldn’t ski due to the weather but had no problem finding things to do in the area. The house is large enough to fit several families and a huge bedroom downstairs for the adult kids to hang out. I must say it would be nice if the furnace was WiFi and the owners could bump up the heat prior to our arrival as it was only 58 degrees in the house but it did heat up fairly quickly and was not a big deal. “We absolutely loved the property and cabin. Very relaxing. The only negative part out of our entire weekend was the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. We tried the pullout bed even but it was still hard as a rock just like the upstairs one. We would love to come back but hopefully there will be a different mattress available.”

“I absolutely love this house! It is decorated so nicely, had everything we needed and I was so happy to have a fenced in yard for our pup with a nice deck for me to hang out on! “My husband and I and our 2 friends had a great time staying at Turner Empire! Everything was spotlessly clean from kitchen appliances, cupboards, drawers and dishes to bedrooms and bathrooms. “The house was great. Large home with 4 bedrooms. We had two dogs who enjoyed the space and fenced in back yard. Very clean. Only thing we couldn’t get the jacuzzi tub to work called and was explained how to work but it still didn’t. Did text to let know still not working I did look forward to but other then that over all great place to stay. Walking distance to town and water. We would definitely stay again”
