“The villa is located right in the center of Galle fort. It was more than wonderful to stay here for 2 nights. I booked a standard room for my first night and superior room for my second night out of credit card balance concern, and the hotel upgraded my first night for free. Fortaleza runs 9 properties, and 50 lighthouse street is a villa with 3 rooms only. I was the only guest during my stay and i enjoyed the whole receiving hall and dining room.”

“If we were designing a suite for ourselves, this would be the blueprint. A large bedroom, extravagantly large bathroom and a spacious walk-in wardrobe / dressing room. All set in a restored 18th century merchant's house. Breakfast was really tasty and the staff were a joy!”

The management and staff were very helpful and kind, the breakfasts were great and the environment was fantastic: a lovely pool, nice rooms and lots of birds and other wildlife all around. It is not next to Galle Fort, but it is easy to get to and from this quiet location to downtown. I will come back here!!”
