Our bedroom was small, but okay. However, the bathroom needs attention. Super large, but smelled very strongly of bleach when we first arrived. By the 2nd day, the smell turned kind of musty. The entire place was lovely and the staff were very attentive. The one MINOR issue was that our room carpet was stained and the staff didn’t vacuum it when they cleaned the room. But it was still definitely one of our best stays in Ireland! The room was very spacious, but the carpet was obviously stained and needed a good shampoo cleaning. The room itself was clean in every other way. It had all the amenities one would want in a hotel room. Breakfast was not included. We ate at the pub below and had a fantastic breakfast of avocado toast with a poached egg and arugula/rocket. Delicious and healthy. We also had an açaí bowl which was wonderful too, as were the fresh baked scones. This hotel was not in walking distance to downtown Galway which is something to be considered. We Uber’d to downtown where we ate at Monroe’s. They had a great Irish stew and a great roast chicken dish. We recommend both.
