“Overall, poor standard of accommodation for £140 per night. Cleanliness and maintenance standards were very low. Had to ask for a move of room as couldnt even open the windows in our room. 2nd room was marginally better, st least we could get some fresh air!”

“smoking at entrance. reception i was handed a leaflet to sign and that was it, no info on breakfast,where room was,dining? later told no English only continental,no food available either Got to room, no electronic lock? given two key cards, so back to reception, said your room has key as lock broke, so back up to room (note stairs no lift) which decoration old n tired but clean, No TV remote, over next hour or so tried @ 8 from other rooms, none worked!! Got other room for 1 night, said would……

“Arrived to a luke warm welcome. The bedroom window was wide open, to air the room, which was damp. The reception area stank of cigarettes smoke. The carpets are so grubby, some steps the carpet is held together with gaffer tape. When we said we wouldn’t be staying because it wasn’t suitable and damp and in general disrepair. We weren’t offered any incentive to stay or give an option for a better room. This hotel would have been amazing in the 1980’s but has indeed lost all its charm. ”
