“Wonderful hotel and service!”

“We have been here many times over the last 20yr . I belive you get what you pay for. The staff are nice but you need to ring for sevice as desk is not manned. The rooms are dated but clean beds are comfy. We got a double double there qas plenty of room maybe a few chairs would have been nice. Last time we went was a few yr ago and we had the use of the pool this is no longer available. Parking is limited and some times not the best if customers deside to block you in but it is free. “Only issue. On the night of the 12th the front door was closed. I got back to the hotel at 00:15. I pressed the buzzer for nearly 45 minutes with no answer. I even went to the grand to ask if they had a contact number, which they didn't. I was just about to find an alternative hotel when another guest opened the door for a cigarette. I searched around the ground floor, no staff anywhere. I went behind the counter and got my own key. As I was walking up the stairs the night staff appeared. I am……

“Staff are really great and friendly! The room we stayed is near the alley which is noisy during the night that we couldn’t sleep well. And the pillows are flat that are not comfortable. ”

“Excellent location, being 5 minutes walk from the train station, and maybe 10 minutes to the coast. Parking looks like it could be an issue though. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were great. Plenty of storage and wardrobe should you need them. I'd have slept better if the room actually had curtains though and the bed wasn't facing the window. The shower was great and the little touches like the hot drinks, towels, shower gel, and TV was appreciated. The check in and check out……

“Penthouse suite was expensive (£275 for one night), but we wanted to treat ourselves after a really bad year. The suite was exceptional. Wife went for a swim in the hotel pool. A short distance from the Quo concert in the Open Air Arena. Really good nights sleep. Very helpful staff. Above average full English breakfast ”

“It was a convenient location. It was good to be able to leave the car outside the guest house, and for it to included in the price. My husband and I enjoyed the views from the bedroom window overlooking the bay. However the bedroom was smaller than we expected. The staff and customers were friendly. We expected our 'own' bathroom to be in our bedroom, as opposed to being on the landing next to our bedroom. ”
