“The Inn is quaint and has so much history, but it is need of some TLC and updating. The gardens and front entrance needs weeding and trimming. There is no elevator and the stairs have carpeting that is worn through. Our bathroom had an old, deep Jacuzzi tub with a wooden step to get in it. There was no bath matt which made it very slippery. It was almost impossible to get out of. We used it only one day if our two night stay. There was no storage in the bathroom - just a bench and pedestal……

“The Ashwood Inn is a lovely place to stay in Central Huron. It’s very close to Grand Bend, Goderich and Bayfield. Many of the best beaches on Ontario’s West Coast are just minutes away. I would highly recommend staying here as the rooms are spacious, it’s very quiet, and the staff were very helpful.”

“We stayed in an apartment at South Shore Suites and had an excellent experience. The place was spotless, very clean, and well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning was a great plus during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we appreciated the thoughtful detail of having coffee available for the coffee maker. We also enjoyed the gas BBQ, which is very convenient since you don’t have to worry about charcoal. The pool was great, and the overall……

“Bed sheets were too small for the bed, there was dirt around the bottom of the tiles in the bathroom. They gave us 2 towels and 2 hand towels, no face clothes. The window frames were gross and no screens on the window and the ceilings were peeling. The rafters they have open in there were split and not that we did it but if someone decided to hang from them they could get hurt. I folded up the sofa bed so we could use the couch and there was dirt all over underneath of it. I would hate to see……

“For 350 dollars I expected a lot more than what got but everything is booked solid so I guess the majority of people are OK with it.”

“We were so impressed by Dreamz Hotel - the management has thought of every single detail to make sure you are comfortable. Everything was very clean, staff was always veey nice and willing to help, and the grounds were stunning - We have never stayed at a place where they put so much heart and soul into having a lovely garden with beautiful flowers, and swings, hammock etc. It was a beautiful touch. Thank you, we highly recommend and we will come back - it is beautiful! Irina”

“The vibe is good, walking distance to the beach is the best part. However, our room was not clean. Our sheets had blood on them and we didn’t notice until the next morning. Our TV was not working either, it would turn on but it would freeze at the welcome page. I paid $600 for this place it’s definitely not worth that much.”
