"This was a fascinating hotel-- a mansion, turned girls' school, turned seminars retreat, turned active business school. The rooms themselves used to be single dorm rooms-- very clean, nice linens, okay towels. The price was right, and the over all ambience was quiet. I thought when I booked it that it was a swanky, three star hotel, which it is not, but it's not bad, either. There was a lively restaurant on site which I wasn't able to enjoy-- late-running theatre tickets kept me from making it before they closed-- and there was a wedding on site, tent far away from the rooms so no noise to bother one. All in all, quite good, though not what I expected, hence the four stars, instead of 5."
