“This cottage was amazing very clean and nice deck, we enjoyed our stay a lot the Goderich area which was only a 10 min drive from the cottage. The sunset from the cottage was beautifull. Overall it was an amazing stay.”

“Fantastic last minute find after our initial booking was cancelled. We absoutley loved the little village of Bayfield. We enjoyed our early morning bike rides to Clan Gregor Square and Pioneer Park in the afternoon to watch the sunset. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay away from home perfect. “The property was enjoyed by many groupings of adult family and friends. Be it a visit for an afternoon or a multi-day stay, it was comfortable and well appointed. So much parking. An easy to use kitchen. Places to play games, relax, very comfortable. Laundry! So easy to get to the beach, an area with many birds and animals, and other attractions such as Bayfield and the Pinery. Only suggestions would be improved safety railing on inside stairs. Improved information about area and expectations...

The cabin provided enough space for personal privacy while allowing time to socialize and nurture friendship. We spent a lot of time touring the Huron region and always felt excited to return to our rustic oasis. Leslie was always quick to answer our communication and created a welcoming environment. “Our first impression was just”Wow”! That was from the outside. Going inside, there were more Wows! and “Look at this”, and “This place is awesome!” I would call the architecture and decor Scandinavian minimalist-in the best possible sense.The cottage is filled with light from the floor to ceiling windows. And we definitely got the message from the owners that they wanted us to enjoy ourselves and feel at home. We did both. Would highly recommend this cottage for a quiet getaway.”

“This cozy carriage house is the perfect location for visiting the area. It's a quick drive to beautiful beaches for long walks. Halfway between Grand Bend and Bayfield there's lots to do and see. We had terrific dinners at Paddington's Pub (Grand Bend) and The Black Dog Bistro (Bayfield). The carriage house is cozy and spotless. Suki is a wonderful hostess and had lots of suggestions for touring in the area. We highly recommend! Maureen and Dave”

Arrival and check-in went smoothly and we found the cottage to be as advertised, freshly renovated and well within our standards of cleanliness. We were concerned of the neighbors and dealing with noise complaints given past reviews and the fact that the public beach access stairs are on this property however we had no issues with any of the neighbors.
