“We stayed here in fall 2023. Location is very convenient to Ribiera Brava (5 minutes by car; we did not take a bus). Great restaurants in town Beautiful clifftop views of the ocean. Private pool (for the 3 units). Very nice ocean view balcony for wine etc. Make sure you let the hosts know when you are arriving as they need to open the front gate (our fault!). Ample parking inside the gate. Wonderful clean facilities. Breakfasts excellent in a common kitchen (too many choices…the pastries……

“Wij zaten in een prachtig appartement in een schitterende omgeving, met uitzicht op de Atlantische Oceaan. Onze gastheer en gastvrouw zijn leuke, vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Bij aankomst stond er een fles wijn klaar en lag er informatie over het huisje, de omgeving en tips voor activiteiten op Madeira. ”

“A lovely small hotel situated above Funchal near the main cable car station. The views over Funchal to the sea are very special. Exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful staff. The breakfast is generous and varied. We had a comfortable and well equipped suite which had its own small balcony and a patio shared with a neighbouring suite. There is a useful inexpensive bus #22 that runs from outside the hotel into Funchal. There are a couple of things to be aware of. 1. The hotel is up on the……

“Alles in Allem ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Man sollte einen Mietwagen nehmen, obwohl der Bus direkt vor dem Haus hält. Das guesthouse liegt etwas abseits. Parkplätze auf der Straße vorhanden, schnelles Internet, Satellitenfernsehen, Frühstück kann Vorort gebucht. Super lecker. Eier von eigenen Hühnern, Obst zum Teil aus dem Garten. Abends die Möglichkeit einen Absacker zu genießen. Dass Bier braut ein Freund (eine Bar ist zudem direkt gegenüber). Alle Zimmer Meerblick. Die Betreiber kommen aus……

“Très beau jardin et roseraie magnifique. La vue sur la mer annoncée avec ma réservation était seulement présente sur la terrasse devant la chambre. Chambre confortable et bien équipée, sauf les matelas à ressorts qui sont très durs ! Le restaurant pour le petit déjeuner ou pour dîner n'appartient pas à l'hôtel. Les menus sont très quelconques et il n'y a pas assez de place pour tout le monde à l'intérieur, obligeant à faire la queue ou à manger en terrasse, ce qui était un peu juste à la période……

“Chambre confort simple.Etant orientée nord-ouest, pas besoin de climatisation, ce qui est fort appréciable. Personnel prévenant. Bon petit-déjeuner. Parking gratuit dans la rue, facile de se garer dans la rue d’au dessus. Nous sommes restés 5 nuits. ”
