A Rural Retreat

Our 1970s, Lockwood farmhouse is great for larger groups or a couple of families. Situated 5 mins off SH 3, halfway between Hamilton and New Plymouth, it is the perfect location to enjoy your next adventure. Options include walking, horse riding (BYO horse), adventure riding, trout fishing, duck shooting, fishing, whitebaiting, diving, swimming or just enjoying farm life and a bit of peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Enjoy it all here in the King Country.
The space
A large, lodge style Lockwood with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and laundry. Master bedroom (Queen bed) with ensuite plus four other rooms (Queen, Queen plus single and floor mattress, 1x single and floor mattress, 1x single and floor mattress). It is basic but functional and situated in the middle of the farm with lovely views down the valley. Has a double garage and large lawn and extensive orchard (lemons, grapefruit, feijoas, apples, grapes and pears). Pets are welcome, dogs must be fully vaccinated and stock proof.
Guest access
Whole house apart from the storage room behind the garage. There are steps up to all external doors. You are welcome to take walks around the farm. Maps are available. Leave all gates as you find them and keep out of bull paddocks.
Other things to note
Beds are all made up and and towels provided. Tea, coffee, milo, jam, peanut butter, honey and marmite provided. There is a wood fire and a heat pump.
